I picked up an MS2 and track control box with a dead power supply for peanuts. I think the correct power supply is a 66360 with 32 VA for around $79 plus post in Australia. A laptop power supply rated at 96W with selectable voltages including the 18V needed by the MS2 was delivered to my letterbox by Ebay for $18.69. The best part is that it has an AU plug that gets rid of the absolutely awful adapter that Marklin provide.

You could hit up Noel, the Marklin dealer in Brisbane for one of the power packs out of the Aldi sets, they have the Aus/NZ mains pin configuration.

Hi Kiwi,
I have a few of those Aldi power supplies laying around. They are rated at 18VA which I doubt is enough for 3 locos moving and 4 stationary. I must measure the current draw next time I'm fiddling around.
I have had very good support from Noel since I blundered into the M world.
