What is the best stuff to use to paint or colour clear bulbs red or green? It would need to be heatproof, translucent etc

Glass paint. Should be available in any hobby equipment store.

I've used enamel or acrylic with no problem, or even a permanent marker. I let the first coat dry, then applied more if needed.

Hi Michael
here we use Pebeo "Vitrail" (stained-glass) paint like here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15300...4ti%7Ctkp%3ABFBMyNefu7Nh
Sorry for not minding my own business but I am a big fan of LEDs which can be found in almost any colour and are good for life.
See for instance here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/38083...Z%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR9zKsbuzYQ
Cheers
Jean
