I am wondering if anyone is having issues with their CS3 (not the plus) after the most recent update.
My digital turnouts no longer can be updated. I
I have measured the voltage.
I have taken the turnout over to my legacy system and it works fine.
But on the CS3 after I update the address and place it on the switchboard, the colors change but nothing happens at the switch.

I hooked up a k83 added the switch to that device, nothing happened.
So now I know its the CS3 and not the switch.

Is there a way to go back to a default os on the marklin cs3 and then try to reinstall the update just in case it was just an installation problem.

Thanks anyone.
everyone.

Are you sure that the red and brown wire is connected right.
If the red and brown wire is switched around, it will not work with k83.

Drool

I removed the lead from the cs3 and hooked it up to my legacy 6021 and it worked fine.
The problem is that the turnouts that I did not change the address and simply installed in my yard work fine, but any of them that I changed the address do not respond.
Very strange?

I have not touched the blue configuration area, but is there a chance something got changed there?

I am really baffled.

It must have something to do with changing the addresses then? My turnout decoders have their addresses set with the dip switches (or controlled by the dip switches on the M83 modules). So if the addresses aren't set in the CS3 they won't respond.
I can't remember how it is with the recent updates... can the decoders be set to mfx and then the changes solely happens on the C3?

So quick update,
and many thanks to the Marklin team, who were able to diagnose the problem.

Their clue was that my system sat for 10+ years in boxes until just recently when I got it all out.
So they suggested flipping the dip switches until it felt like they were working smoothly, get rid of the former settings, and reinstall the turnouts.
It worked!

So moving forward!
thanks to all who commented, read or tried to diagnose my issues!
Jim
