Bassum is on the railway line from Hamburg via Bremen and Osnabrück to Wanne-Eickel in the Ruhr area, also known as the "Rollbahn" due to the heavy train traffic. Next to the Bassum station, eight railway modelers from IBM, the "Basumer Modellbahner Interest Group" have built a warehouse-style hall and have been building a large H0 model railway for over 13 years. Motifs from the region are designed, such as the Allertal, the Bassum railway station, the great city with the fantastic name Bremburg (Bremen and Oldenburg) and many agricultural scenes. The goal of the model builder is to build a large floor plan model of the railway, but in diorama quality. This requires manual skills, years of experience and, above all, a lot of patience

I see at the 1:20 mark it is not just English modellers that lean on the layout ... BigGrin BigGrin
