This train has been in storage for 30 years.

Does anyone recognize this train? Year? Number?

The zinc pest is clearly there. Some wheels are missing.

But the locomotive and the end car are good.

ST 800, circa 1950's, give or take. Exact version will come down to small details. Some photos of the underside will help.

I would pass it on to a restorer who can save this beauty from finishing up in dust., the year will be recognizable with the 2 grey parts on top of the unit., your set is ST 800 (3017).1 or .2
1.) is chimney red, 2.) is red., round cardan axles, 1.) year of production: 1948, 2.) year of production 1949-1950,
Version 3.) pantographs (5) grey roof additions 7mm/9mm wide, 1951
Version 4.) flat cardan axle 1952-1954
Version 5.) Pantograph (6) 1955-1957

B Version 10.) Ivery/blue, 1949-1950 same as Version 1.)
Version 11.) Ivery/blue, 1951, same as Version 3.).
Version 12.) Ivery/blue, 1952-1954, same as Version 4.)
Version 13.) Ivery/blue, 1955-1956, same as Version 5.)

G Version 20.) Ivery/green, 1949-1950, same as Version 1.)
Version 21.) Ivory/green, 1951, same as Version 3.)
Version 22.) Ivory/green, 1952-1954, same as Version 4.)

as you can see there are quite a few different Variants
5 years in Destruction mode
50 years in Repairing mode
