Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone can provide some tips on how to program a 7286 Turntable c/w 7687 decoder that is connected to an Intellibox? Since the IB seems to take longer than 5 seconds to power up, when I hold down the input key on my keyboard it doesn't enter programming mode. I have the option of changing everything over to my 6021 but that's somewhat of a pain, so I'm hoping there is a way to do this with the IB.

Thanks

Mike

Yes there is.

Just place a switch or plug connection in the yellow wire that go to the decoder.

Then
1) First disconnect the yellow cable connection (Switch off / loose the plugs)
2) Start up the IB.
3) Set the keyboard to the programming key mode for the turntable.
4) Create the connection in the yellow wire (Switch on / connect the plugs).
5) Press the programm key on the keyboard.
6) Start programming.

Hi Timaximus,

I tried that out but for some reason it doesn't seem to be working for me.

What I am doing is as follows, perhaps you can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

1. I installed a switch on my yellow wire which goes to the decoder and I switch this to off first.
2. I turn on my IB and hold down the input button on the keyboard to enter programming mode although I have no idea if it's in programming mode.

3. Turn the switch on my yellow wire to on.
4. I press the program key which seems to be the same key as the input key.
5. I try moving the turntable using the step key so I can clear addresses but it does not just step, it rotates to the next position like it normally does.

If you could let me know what I'm doing wrong, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks

Mike

Hi,

you must do #3 BEFORE #2... i.e. turn the yellow wire "on" before pressing the programming button.

You must startup the IB and when it is ready you must set the keyboard on the address of the program key (just press Menu + 225 [enter]).
After that the key (4) is addres 225 green (program).
