Hello~
A total noob here getting into Marklin HO for my 9 yr old son.

Got him a used 37116. BR 18 112. But our MS2 cannot find it automatically and we don't see 37116 in the database list either.

Help? Our MS2 is on firmware 3.112. Thank you!!!

It has an mfx decoder according to the 37116 marklin page. It is possible whoever had it before turned off the mfx capability using a CV in the decoder. See the CV listing in the loco manual (you can download the manual from the link if it came without one). Because it was originally shipped with an mfx decoder it will not be in the ms2 database.

The other thing to check is that the ms2 has mfx capability turned on. The manual can be downloaded from the 60675 page if you don't have it.

This will be a nice loco to have for a first loco. ThumpUp
