Last week I bought the Faller 'Großbild-Katalog 1961'.

This special large format catalog (30 x 30cm) was published for the Nuremberg 1961 international toy fair and is often referred to as a 'Händler' ( Dealer) catalog.

It is an impressive catalog with close-ups of the boxes, often in the original size of the box.
The quality of the photos and printing is really good (for those years).
The large photos are obviously much more detailed, than the photos in the 'normal' small Faller catalogs.
But it is not a true 'dealer' catalog, because the regular hobbyst could buy it too, but not much people did because it was a pricey catalog.

This 1961 'Großbild' catalog was the first Faller Nuremberg toy fair catalog in large format.
A 'Großbild' catalog was also published in 1962, and there was one announced for 1963 too, but that one never came, it was just too expensive.

The 1961 and 1962 'Großbild' catalogs are very rare and difficult to obtain, many Faller enthusiasts are looking for one.
If you like the 1960s Faller kits, this 'Großbild' 1961 catalog sure is the holy grail !
