Hi all,

Per the subject line, I'm hoping to learn a bit more about the color schemes of consists of wurttemberg bogie coaches. I have a few sets worth of these Marklin Wurttemberg passenger coaches they have been making for 30+ years, the earliest examples being part numbers 4210-4214.

Looking at them all this weekend my mind began running- is there a prototypical accuracy to the mix of color schemes? Using the 4210-14 set as an example again, the colors are a big mix.

Were they painted by class of service?

Or did the colors evolve over the years from one scheme to another, with a "mixed era" in between?

Marklin also did sets near entirely in brown, such as 42131, 42141, 42101.

I have deduced that by Era II they were all green (42132, 42103 as examples), but I'm curious what an accurate consist is before then?

Any experts out there? Thanks in advance!
SBB Era 2-5
