Joined: 14/04/2015(UTC) Posts: 58		Hi everyone! As I understand, the CS3 and CS3+ have two components: the GUI (or Graphical User Interface Processor) , and the GFP (or Gleis Format Processor). As far I have investigated, both units are individually connected to the Märklin CAN Bus. They have different UIDs, Hash values and its own software module. But my question is, which are the precise functions of these units, the GUI and the GFP? Something that I guess is that the GFP has a kind of booster function, but also a kind of S88 interface roll. The CAN-UDP-Gateway is another unit. I think it is not linked to the CAN bus, and again I guess it is linked to the GUI. But I'm not sure about all I guess. Joined: 16/02/2004(UTC) Posts: 15,432 Location: DE-NW		The GFP or Track Format Processor creates the digital track signal. There is only one GFP in the system and the signal is distribute in parallel with the CAN bus. All boosters amplify the digital track signal from the same GFP.

Joined: 19/05/2014(UTC) Posts: 59 Location: Sjælland, Kirke-Hyllinge		As far as I know, then there is a GFP in booster's like 60174 and 60175. There is also a GFP in every CS 2 or 3 used as slaves. The GFP in the CS3 is called GFP3 and the other just GFP. The new software update also has a GFP update.

There is one GFP in the main unit that creates the track signal for all boosters. The GFPs in the boosters process the feedback from mfx locos in their section.

And as such, I suppose that the 60116 Digital Connector Box (for the MS2) includes also a GFP inside, doesn't it? And about the GUI (Graphical User Interface processor) of the Central Stations, does anybody know its functions? Very kind regards! Francisco
