Joined: 12/08/2006(UTC) Posts: 9,019		I do visit sometimes Märklin homepage and did notice that digital products are no longer in the store and yellow lighted long time now. Problem with the semiconductor for the electronics?

Joined: 04/02/2011(UTC) Posts: 3,124 Location: Paris, France		Hi I just visited the shop and many items are available except for mSD3 items. Märklin may be preparing a new generation decoder. Indeed there are electronic component shortages but mostly sharp price increases. Märklin, like its competitors has production runs and may occasionally be un-available but mostly, I can see a delay of 1 to 3 month in the production. I am waiting for the Rheinpfeil train set initially scheduled for Nov 2021 and now some items are pushed to March 2022. This is about Covid and international trade and shipment troubles Jean

Joined: 23/07/2014(UTC) Posts: 8,109 Location: ENGLAND, Didcot		I have seen a message from Marklin that they cannot provide a delivery date for cs3 and cs3+ controllers due to component supply issues. I would guess that anything containing a decoder is likely to be in a similar situation.

Joined: 04/04/2013(UTC) Posts: 1,275 Location: Port Moody, BC		I have had an ESU Servo 3 decoder 51832 on order with my Canadian dealer since October with an expected delivery in December 2021. In December Lokshop and Lippe both finally showed it in stock so I expected mine to arrive by early January. However, as of Friday no shipment has arrived from ESU at my dealer and both Lippe and Lokshop show this item as Reservation only. So I guess these are being impacted by component shortages and being released in batches in Europe. I wonder if I will ever get mine in Canada.
