Hello from SoCal,

I recently purchased the maerklin loco 37327 Re 620 011-7 SBB with mfx decoder installed with all the bells and whistles that come with it.

The CS3 plus station recognized the loco immediately and it run absolutely perfect for the last few weeks. Yesterday the loco derailed but didn’t fell of the track.

After putting the CS3 station in stop mode, I put the loco back on the track immediately and tried to run it again. but the CS3 plus station is not recognizing the loco anymore. The loco has power, the headlights work and the operating engine sound is on. But I can not shut them off.

I’m new working with the CS3 plus station and all its additional functions about possible resetting the mfx decoder to the factory settings.

Can someone help me in layman’s terms how to get these awesome loco working again.

Thank you

Sincerely

Uthred from SoCal

Have you tried turning off the headlights, then back on? Removing the Loco from the list, or is it not showing up now? You can try finding lost mfx Loco. If it shows up, look in the edit Locos menu and see if it works properly. If it is there, but doesn't respond, try removing it, then see if it reregisters after restarting the CS3. Give it some time.
If that doesn't work, it's decoder may need resetting, but I don't know how to do it. I haven't ever changed any advanced Loco. macros.

Hi Uthred
My advice is to delete in the CS3 the loco 37327 while the loco is not on the rails.
Then let the CS3 rediscover the loco by installing it on the program track and then power ON.

If nothing happens, then push the fonction re discover lost MFX locos

I would delete the locomotive from the list and then let it reregister itself. I have run into similar instances with the MS2.
The other suggestion that I can make is to set up a short test track using either analog or classic digital (6021) and see if the locomotive operates normally (6021 address will be in the instruction manual under MM address).
If the locomotive runs, stop the power, move the locomotive back to your track with CS3 and see if the locomotive responds to the commands correctly.

It also occurred to me that as you are in Corona, CA, you are within 20 miles of Rick Sinclair, Marklin USA's digital specialist. If you continue having issues, you can get in touch with him in Eastvale:

Thank you much Mike. I Deleted loco first from the CS3 station, restarted it and put the loco back on the track. The mfx did the rest and loco is running perfect again.
I appreciate your advice and the info on Rick’s repair shop that’s good to for future issues. He is literally just about 10 min from my house
