Is the CS fully compatible with the decoder 5211? Viessmann says so. However I cannot make the CS switch anything through the 5211...

Ok, probably my fault, but I have tried anything I can think of:

The "bottom" of 5211 connected to the CS digital current (I have tried the rail and directly into the CS)

The "top" of the 5211: "E" into the the red digital just beside it.(I have also tried an external trafo for the "E", and the trafo's "brown" to the rail)

I plug the red and the green cables to the magnet article, Viessmann signals, (tried several) into f.ex. the first (1) of the 4 pairs of output in the 5211.
I choose dip switch according to table: f.ex. 2,4,6,7 gives address: 49-52.
In the CS, I choose address 49, type of article (f.ex. Viessmann main signals- have tried to-way and three ways). I confirm.

I create the "schaltfläche", i.e. the image of the signal.

I try to shift the signal: the image I created change from "red" to "green" - but nothing happens to the signal.

What have I a done wrong? (Have tried with two 5211's)

I notice the the signal does switch if I pull the red or the green output plug manually out of the 5211 and in again! but only at the first pair ("1"), if I try the same manual trick at the other
pairs, 2, 3 and 4, no current there. (Not even if I change the 49address to 50, 51 or 52)

I must be missing something basical, but what? I am desperate [:(], sorry for the long question!

thanks for any advice Smile, Søren

Would I be better off in buying k83's ? They can probably be used for the Viessmann signals as well, and finally I only bought two 5211's...?.) )

Whatever you are doing with the 5211 would be the same for the k83. wink

It just hit me, whicn Viessmann signals? If it is a light signal (4xxx) these need a relay for continuous power.

Have another look at the wiring diagram that came with the signal. The boxs with lines and dots inside stand for relay. Check the Viessmann web site. Some signals have a new diagram that shows how to connect lights to relays, showing actual hardware.

For example, look here: http://www.viessmann-modell.com/pdf/4012.pdf. Where you see 5547, this is 1/4 of a 5211. Compare the <wiring scheme> with the <installation> to understand how the Viessmann diagrams.

Hope this helps!biggrin
