Hello all,

I am trying to recall the time when a HO scale passenger car (or car set) was released by both Fleischmann and Märklin as a joint production.
Although maybe with slightly different paint schemes.
My recollection is that Märklin promoted the item(s) with a statement "in conjunction with the Fleischmann Co., or in cooperation with the Fleischmann Co."

I thought it may have been the Merkur set from 2008, but neither the Trix (model 23420) or Märklin (model 43290) web pages mention it.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who knows of the occurrence of a joint release (or in conjunction with, or in cooperation with) of such vehicles.

regards
Kimball

These coaches are definitely made by Fleischmann. In this case Märklin did not disclose the "co-operation" in the catalogue. Their are several examples for undisclosed "co-operations" in the Märklin history.

Tom

I have the Fleischmann version of the 610. It was a big deal for Fleischmann at the time - the 1995 catalogue mentioned the collaboration. I believe it was the very first pendolino design in HO. It was also the first year of the BR 03 - big year.

Thank you all for your replies.
Most interesting.

Thanks Tom for confirmation on the 43290.

There was a recent occasion when Tillig was acknowledged by Marklin as a co-producer of some DSB refrigerators cars.

There were several "co-operations" with Tillig recently. There was a set of tank cars without attribution, there were hopper cars with attribution, there were several passenger coach sets with attribution.

Thanks Tom,
No wonder I could not find the refrigerator cars in the database.
My mistake.

Mark wrote that the 48779 beer cars are a "co-operation" with Hobbytrade - as far as I can tell we have Hobbytrade cars with Märklin couplers. Same cars are in 48777 and 48778. There is no attribution for those "co-operations"

Tom
