Hi guys Cool

I need your help Cool

I need cables for my S 88 link. It is installed far from the cs2, about 6 meters.

I am looking for an extension to the M 60883 output cable to the cs2 (6 meters or 3 x 2 meters)

I don't know which cable I should use.

Thank you for your advices

So, you are looking to extend the CAN bus cable?
In that case you would want a 60126 cable for each two metres to the nearest cs3/2 or 60145 terminal.

This is an extension to the cable that connects the S 88 link (60883) to the cs 2 (60215)

I think that you are right : the 60126 has a 9-pin socket, no?

Thank you Alan

Have a nice evening

Replace your S88 Link with an S88 AC device. Move the S88 Link closer to your CS2. Connect the two S88's with an ethernet cable.

That's the other way of doing it - I don't know if there is a limit on the number and length of 60126 cables that can be used in a single run.

Hello DavidCool

Thank you

I had a flash last night: this solution you propose

I will adopt it.

It's an RJ45 cable, isn't it?

Correct ethernet cable is RJ-45 just another name for the same article of cabling

In the broadest of terms, that's correct. A Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable should be fine.

Although if I was being pedantic, RJ-45 is actually the type of connector on the ends of the cable but the term gets used generically to describe the entire cable.
