Hello, everyone.

Can the software of an MS1 be updated to include DCC control?

If so, can an MS2 do it (upgrade the MS1, that is)?

Thanks. BigGrin

Hi!
The Trix MS1 always includes NMRA DCC. The Märklin MS1 cannot be updated to NMRA DCC. It can control NMRA DCC trains when connected to a Central Station or ECoS.
The Central Station 1 and the ECoS can update the Märklin MS1.

Thank you, HO, much appreciated. ThumpUp

The question for me at this point is: What can I actually do with my MS1, considering I have a small layout and two MS2's?

That will be for another time... Wink

Separate programming track or test track.
Christmas tree layout.
Extra controller once you get a Central Station.

When mfx locos won't register, it is always good to have a second mfx controller - sometimes that'll revive them.
