Hi all,

Is there a (good) way to replace the "hooks" on a Märklin 3132 V5 with proper couplers?

Hi Martin
These couplings have been around for a long time on simpler locos (in 1951 on the 3001 and 2002 electric loco).

In your case I believe you would have to do some delicate surgery on the front and rear bumper plate to allow the rotation of the coupler and the operation of the uncoupler rail. So not easy, some impact on the looks of the loco so unless you are skilled and with very good tools I would advise not to do it.
