Does anyone know the part number for the C Track point levers?

I haven’t used my HO for some time and when we did my children (now grown up) were quite rough with it and several levers disappeared. I got it out recently to run some locos but with no levers you can’t change the direction of the turnouts.

At least that is how I have seen it at a Spanish on-line shop, at 1,50€ each

Looks like (from the Marklin shop) it is E520980 for a packet of 10 for 15 Euro.
however it is also marked "permanently not available" which (from another part I am wanting to order0 appears to mean "wait for the next production run".

Thank you both, I’ll see what GM can do, other than that what is the name of the Spanish online shop.

Cool

Lokmuseum has 8 pieces in stock, they are nice and fast to deal with BigGrin

https://www.lokmuseum.de...=12&SID=&suchen=

Google will give you several other options; but not all have them in stock.

Edit: This guy has 15 used, cheap and in the UK: https://www.ebay.co.uk/i...0736d:g:gdsAAOSwP25g3Xa4

Per.

Cool

Hi
They are sold by Märklin Shop under number E520980n Price is 15€ for a package of 10 units and on ebay.de at €1.50 for one lever
Note: very often, especially on older switches, the lever fell because one of the plastic grips holding it in place went broke so a new lever will be of little help.
Cheers
Jean

And thank you Purellum, I’ve put my order in.
My C track is mostly marked 1999 Jean, it is brittle and used to shed bits every time it was packed away after a session. At the time I corresponded with Märklin about that and the way the point levers would fall out and their reply at the time amounted to there was nothing wrong with their product - it must be my rough handling.
I preferred K track which was my first Märklin track but changed to C because I thought it would be children proof (we didn’t have a permanent layout). I like the idea of the wider studs that K track has, it is kinder to the sliders. The flexi K track also has a lot of possibilities should I ever be able to build a permanent railway in H0.

If the levers no longer hold because the plastic clips broke off, you can still install the lanterns to operate the turnouts by hand.

But a good last ditch suggestion if the clips are broken.

You got my point. Thanks!
And with 1999 turnouts the clips may be brittle by now.

It is not your rough handling but has to do with the plastic used in early C tracks. I dropped a track on hardwood floor 30 cm above and the track broke.
Later Märklin corrected the content of the plastic (2005 or so)and now, it is very fine.
Just a matter of opinion but I used C track on most of my layout and K track on the steam depot and my findings are:
K Track
- it allows gentle curves using flex track
- it is very old-looking with enormous rails and studs
- Switches fixation of motors is very flimsy
- when ballasting track and using glue, contacts problems are recurrent
- it has slim double slip switches C track does not have
- Switch motors are sometimes failing (like C-Track)

C Track
- No contact issues even when ballasting.
- easy installation because of solid ballast and great for carpet train. Also very easy to integrate the track in the landscape
- very solid fixation of track sections together (the Click) and solid anchoring of motors to switches, etc
- very prototypical aspect of the track, no joiners
- No slim double slip switches
- because of sturdy design, the rails form a smooth support for trains to roll on (smooth translation without waddling)
- questionable quality of switch motors (you must short all micro switches inside)

Cheers
Jean
