Train accident near German-Czech border.

Three dead (both drivers and a passenger), seems an express ran a red light and hit a commuter train.

Do Czech railways have Indusi or TPWS type technology?
Where fitted, TPWS (Train Protection Warning System) does a good job of intervening during overspeeding or SPADs (signals passed at danger).

The German - Czech cross border railway situation there is a hot mess of 'not yet upgraded' states, which is a problem as we see.
Some of the lines don't have the European system installed on the Czech side to auto-stop the train if it runs past a red signal. (ETSC I think its called).
Then on the German side there are areas where DB have not installed the electrical catenary yet so on the German side they need to switch to a diesel locomotive and thus the the faster speed traffic cross border really gets compromised.

Yes, if both side had all the modern infrastructure installed then these issues wold not happen as much, but they don't unfortunately, because as always, its about money and not spending it where it needs to be spent.
Toys of tin and wood rule!
