Hello all! Any help would be appreciated! I have what appears to be a Marklin HO scale train, but the only mark on it says “Made in Germany West” on the bottom.... It only has 4 wheels, and everything I have seen has 6....
Any help on finding the exact model would he greatly appreciated!

As far as I know
this loco comes from the Märklin / Antex starterset 2911
Antex and Primex were sold in the 60's , sold only supermarkets in Belgium and the Netherlands .

Yes, this was the cheaper version of the 3029 - used in both Antex and Märklin-branded dirt cheap starter sets.
The real difference between Märklin/Antex was transformer branding & rail track color.

here's a snip from the USA Greenberg's Guide - now long out of print but still a handy reference (ignore any pricing), and in English. Your model dates from 1960-1961 only and is referred as "3020". 60 years old !!

Someone may have a recent Koll's that they can post up a snip from?

Ironically, the Loco in the Antex set was only made for a short time, and was in a very inexpensive retail set. As a result, they can be less common than other models, and there are people who are interested in these variations.

Unfortunately yours is only an average example, rusty, and very dirty so would at least require a good clean and some parts replaced for reliable running.

Hope this helps...

My estimate in current condition, would be 'maybe' around 15 - 20 Euro/$ ?

It would more appeal to a collector who has most of the other variations except this one, but the condition is against it.

Koll's 2015 has a value of 35 Euro. BUT... this is for an absolutely MINT example, with original box.

You should at least halve that for anything less than VG, and with no box. Yours never came with it's own box, it was part of a larger set. If you had that, the value could be higher.

Koll's lists around 15 variations of the 3029, significantly more than Greenberg's so other variants may have been found since.
