Good morning, could I kindly ask to anyone that has this loco if they could tell me where to find the instruction booklet and spare part list ? I bought the loco but there was no 'literature' in the box. Thank you

Hello, I looked at w manual for item 37360. AE 6/6. One is not in the database for yours but I suspect they are the same. Old classic motor not cardan drive.

Hello Marco,

This is an interesting number 3737. I cannot find it in my Koll's Katalog 2011, nor on the Märklin product database (2000 ->).

One old reference listings I have says the parts are equivalent to 3338 et al.

Here is the PDF diagram and parts list for 3338 which is supposed to be same parts as 3737 :

3338_explo copy.pdf (108kb) downloaded 47 time(s).

Regards,

PJ

I suggest you visit this post https://www.marklin-users.net/fo...Locomotive-3050-and-3016
It contains the 3050 (same loco as the 3737) exploded view diagram and the Märklin service manual
Cheers

3700's are digital, 3300's delta, and 3000 series analog. I sent him a digital manual with 5 pole motor.

@PJ, the 3338 diagram still has the 3 pole rotor. Mine has a 5 pole rotor

@marklinist5999, where did you send the file ?

@JohnjeanB, I have been on Markin's Shop DB but the 3737 is 'keine gefunden' :-(

The box has a date '01 93' on it, the running number is 11437 and the name of the city is 'Stadt Basel', if these info can be of any help

On top of this the loco was bought in Geneve from Technic Toys, which doesn't exist anymore.

File is on Marklin.de under manuals/spare parts. It does get a bit confusing as there are thousands. 3300's only have electronic reverse units. 3400's are delta with 3 pole ankers.

Hi
Here is the page 171 in the 1993 Märklin catalogue
Marklin 1993 P 171.png
So your loco has a 5 pole motor with a C90 decoder (Address switches and 2 Potentiometers for max speed and acceleration / deceleration)
I could not find the specific user's manual. For operation, any C90 (6090) users manual will do. I could not find it on the web. I have paper versions somewhere and I am sure you do too.
Cheers
Jean

Jean, thank you for the catalogue page. In it it says that the 3737 is the digital version of the 3337.
The serial number also indicates this with white characters H3041617

The forum's page re the serial number explanations though only mentions 6 or 8 digits after the letter and I have engines with 7 digits

Hi,
I have the locomotive in the analog version (3337) upgrated to digital. I can make you a scan in pdf of the instruction manual (3337/3737) but there is no explanation of parts different from the sliders, traction tires and bulb lights. What specific part are you loking for?
Regarding the decoder in the 3737 it has the well known 6090 with a 8 dip swich for the address and a 5 pole armature DC motor.

Send me a PM with your email and I will send you the file.

Kr,

Eduardo

As you say, but my information is that the other parts are the same.Wink

Motors are readily available if you need replacement and you may well wish to upgrade the motor anyway with a conversion kit and newer decoder.Smile

Once again, item 37360 has the 5 pole motor schematic. It's just a different road number and paint scheme in the red/blue SBB cargo.

Sorry but NO!

3737 is the digital version of the 3337 Ae 6/6 Basel (City). (6090 decoder)
The instructions for this one are not the same as 3336/3338/3636/3638 as those models have an earlier decoder (6080).
The instructions may be the same as for the 33/3739 (Canton Zurich) and the 3736 (Canton Freiburg).

Once you get to the 37366/26532 (City of Luzern), the model had a 60901 decoder.

I will check through my models and see what I can find.

33/3638: 3338_explo%20copy.pdf (108kb) downloaded 7 time(s).
3739: Screen Shot 2021-04-20 at 9.13.36 PM.png
The parts list should be in the uwaterloo document
39361: 39361_explo.pdf (655kb) downloaded 11 time(s).
The last one has parts lists for earlier versions.

You can also check here: https://cs.uwaterloo.ca/...ts_cdrom/PDF/ET539H0.PDF

Good morning folks !!! Thank you vety much for your help. At the moment the only replacement codes I'm looking for are the traction tyres, I have them as they are the same ones most of my locos use, the current pick up slider and lights.

I was looking for the booklet to have the 'story' of the loco and the lot. The loco is working perfectly out of the box, it only needs oiling.

At the end of the day:

Similar: 3337 the difference being that 3737 mounts 6090 decoder and 5 pole DC motor

Maybe similar: 3736 and 3739

Not the same: 37366/26532 (City of Luzern) as they mount 60901 decoder

Not the same: 3336/3338/3636/3638 as they mount a 6080 early decoder

Thank you

The question is which information you are looking for.
The address settings are the same for 6080, 6090, and 60901. The 6090 introduces two pots, the 60901 introduces F1 through F4 which may be used in the loco.
When it comes to changing traction tyres and slider one manual works for all.

Some Märklin models have seen three decoder generations while keeping the same ref. number.
Regards
Tom

to draw a conclusion on this topic, I discovered that I already have a 3337 in my cupboard.
Such stupid mistake, not to remember, and I do not have 2000 locos so that I can get confused.
Thank you all for your support and patience :-)
