After years of analog m-track with wired switches and digital locomotives I have acquired c-track with digital turnouts. I am trying to operate them with a 6023 controller and a 6040 keyboard. Each turnout (including a double switch and three way) and decouplers has its own decoder. I am not using a k83 or k84 decoder. The regular turnouts and x switch decoders have the number KN170505A. The three way has the number SE110811C. All of then have 10 dipswitches. I tried the 8 dipswitch codes that are in the 6040 keyboard manual. Only two worked. I do not know which two Then I tried the 10 switch codes that I found on nederlof.net for the 74460 change decoder. Two different ones worked. When push button #1 on the 6040 keyboard the two switches that are coded with address 3 &7 from the Nederland.net website work. Nothing else actuated. The 6040 keyboard switches are all set to off. The locomotives work. The actuators are are Marklin. Maybe the decoders are not? Any ideas?

Are the Digital turnouts new? If so, I think the built in decoders are mfx. I don't think the old keyboard is compatible.

Yes they are new. I was just trying to make them work until I can get a central station.

The part number you mention for switch decoders do not match with any Märklin ones If they were Märklin ones, they would be 74462 (for all switches except the 3-way switch) and 74466 for 3-way switch. If indeed your decoders are Märklin then each decoder has a set of 10 mini-switches Here is the first positions of switches Important: set the switches only when power is off The switch 10 must be OFF so that MM2 is activated The full manual is here https://static.maerklin....a607e60e0a1566222233.pdfCheers Jean |

The newer turnout decoders (e.g 74462, 74466) MAY be configured by a marklin CS with mFX They OPERATE with MM or DCC as per DIP switch position 10 Quote:I don't think the old keyboard is compatible.
