The state of the timber is not showing any age considering there should be at least 50 years of staining . Cheers Tom in Oz . Also there is no sign of rust etc on the hinges or handles . very suss .

Not suss, i think it is one of the metalbaukasten sets that Marklin have produced over the last 25 years or so. I specifically stated that i thought it is a repro one in the first post, because of its (Marklin) catalogue number.
