I’ve been working my way through my collection for the past couple of days, today I got to my Blue Box replicas.
My 30210 was bought new when released and initially ran for a few months, but has been in a display cabinet for a few years now.
Today a track test.......the lights are on, but nobody is at home in the motor department!

I’ve just taken it apart and the motor is REALLY seized, like I cannot free it with Servisol or oil. I have come across this problem in my Primex collection from the 1980s. The 2702 E44 Petrol train pack being a fine example, bought two sealed sets, both seized, but freed up quite easily with contact cleaner. Not this 30210 however, nope, no joy. It’s going to be a full strip down of the motor! I think the factory used a batch of dodgy lubricant...

I will move on to check my other Blue Box items from around that time, but just mentioning this so those of you with the V200 30210 can check theirs out.
