My CS2 got burned out but the only the trains do not run. The screen and other functions are working fine. I got a new CS3+ and would like to copy the data from the CS2 to CS3. I have the cable that connects the two.

Can you please guide me on how I can transfer the loco data etc. from the CS2 to CS3+?

Thanks in advance.

Save a backup onto a thumb drive. Then plug the thumb drive into the CS3, not the power USB port. Run "restore" on the CS3 and it will load the information. Bear in mind that track plans don't come over correctly. The CS3 uses a different data format for the track plan. You will also need to redefine S88's if you have them. All this is in the manual which is available at this link: http://streaming.maerkli..._Manual_EN_final-lo.pdf.

Thank you.

Unfortunately the link to the manual is broken. Is there any other link?

Hi
I just had to move from a 60215 operation to a 60226 since Christmas 2020.
The quickest IMO is to redo everything. Yes I has backup but there was so much changes (track display, S88 / L88 sensor scanning) that is was a good opportunity to clean.
In my case I had to migrate all sensors which were connected to the CS2 and make the transfer to an existing Link88
I also used the new synoptic track plan which goes like this

The registration of all my MFX locos (36) was a bit painful as the CS3 could not register the trains from their location so I had to do it by groups of 5 locos

Since I am using Rocrail I had to check connections and configuration but it went smoothly there.
Good luck
Jean
