When will Märklin start upgrading decoders via CS3 to digital locomotives?
Märklin confirmed about 2 years ago that they would start with it but nothing happens.

I have been using the method in this link since November 2019: Update Firmware in Märklin mSD3 and mLD3 Decoders. The instructions are in Danish, but a website translator worked for me. Note, under How To Do, it says to select the configure tab, it should be the set-up tab to find the U button in the lower right hand corner of the screen.

Also read and watch this thread: https://www.marklin-users.net/fo...ble-via-mDT3-3-4-2/page2. Post 57 lists the latest firmware versions for the various decoder types.

You did miss understanding me.
I am writing about digital locomotives which already do have sound decoder and wonder why there is no upgrade for the decoders in the locomotive.

I have only one digital locomotive. It is the Köf II from Märklin with factory installed digital sound decoder (part of set 26605) which I have successfully updated twice via the CS3.

Anders, which locomotives are you inquiring about?

No discernible difference in the Köf. Probably just bug fixes. There is a change log in the decoder update thread I inked above.
