I did read that a digital system which also supports RailCom make digital interference with Märklin digital accessories like m83, m84 and Märklin digital signals in the DCC mode.
So in this case the RailCom in the system must deactivated.
I was started to thinking same way about ESU Loksound which also do have RailCom enabled and when to use CS3 it reports CV fault reading when i try to read the decoder in the DCC mode.
Could this RailCom enable make CV reading fault?

Hi Goofy,

I’m using the ESU ECoS and purchased 2 Märklin semaphore signals (mfx/dcc) and they behaved strangely. When turning off Railcom in the ECoS they worked as they should. I haven’t seen any problems reading and writing to Loksound when this is turned off, but then a new loksound lok can’t be detected. I have solved this by turning on Railcom temporarily when registering a new lok, and this works fine with me. But maybe CS3 behaves differently. The point is though that I don’t see any problem with Loksound CV reading and writing.

Hope you can sort it out, Peder
