I am inserting some Peco turnouts code 100 in my layout but do not get really right with SL-18 Stud Contact Strip are there any other methods instead of SL-18 Stud Contact Strip how have you done with your turnouts let me know

/ Peter get the puko strip from Weichen-Waltermake sure you get the correct one for the rail code you have.

/ Peter I've also experimented with the Peco stud strips and my main objection against them is that they generate too much slider noise unless two strips are used side by side to cover every tie space in the track. However, I never found a workable solution centering the strips properly.... W-W seems to be the way to go if you're dealing with just a few turnouts....for the cost of the turnout itself that's a no-go in my book. You didn't say if you're otherwise running C- or K-track but I simply redesigned my track plan (yard) using only slim L/R K-turnouts and ended up with a more sound and cheaper design. /Tom
