I have a few locos whose pantographs have broken insulators (or bases).

These are brown plastic and can be found on locos like 3035 etc. I think the pantographs are, according to Kolls Type 8, part number is 7218 (chrome).

The metalwork is OK, I just need the plastic bases. Does anyone make them or have the data to print them? (Our son has recently bought a 3d printer)

I need to correct my initial post

The original 7218 (nickel Koll type 8) is held together by two pins with flattened ends. Attempts to dismantle would probably lead to destruction. Therefore let us assume that they cannot be dismantled.

The next one is 25069 (nickel Koll type 9). It looks the same as 7218 apart from method of construction. This is different and involves a sort of clip. This can be dismantled.

Then we have 7218 again (brown Koll type 9.1 and 9.2) These have the same construction as 25069 so can be dismantled.

Bigdaddynz, though your picture looks familiar it is not one of these.

The nickel pantographs are becoming very expensive, the brown ones are half the price and still available. As an experiment I have ordered a couple of very cheap ones from China but suspect that they may not survive the battering they will get on my layout!

7218 bottom left you can just see the flattened ends of the pins sticking out of the plastic moulding

Top right and middle right, 25069 / 215000 / etc etc no flattened ends, different construction.

Just to make things more involved your Kolls differs from mine which is 1991. The middle caption on the right describes a version with a green isolator (which is not in mine) and gives them different part numbers. I guess your Kolls is later.
