Hi everyone,

I had an HO layout that took up almost all my room when I was a kid. Now, after 30 years, I’m back in the hobby, having recently acquired a collection of Gauge 1 Locomotives. I always aspired to be able to own Marklin products when I was a kid!

My brand new ET91 Observation Car (#55918) has an issue with one pantograph - it goes down automatically, but not up. Can someone guide me on how to adjust it? When it’s lowered, and you initiate the raise sequence, it goes down a little before it goes up. I think that’s the issue. When it drops down about 1 mm, it catches the lock tooth, and then won’t go up unless you push it up with your finger.

Thanks!

I ended up fixing it, I think, by just bending the pantograph bars ever so slightly.
Beware -- even with pliers covered with tape, it's very easy to scrape off the paint. There are too many plastic parts on this otherwise great model.
