Good Morning, I am trying to figure out how to connect viessmann 5221 ( module for block signal 4011 ) to the marklin m83 ( 60832 ) mfx decoders. Has anyone done it before that could help me out? Much appreciated thanks

Hello,

I don't have such experience, but looking at the doc of 5221, I would say Fig7 is the one you look for.
Replace the 5211 in Fig7 by the m83 and try...

The connection of the signal to the 5221 is shown in Fig 1.

Cheers
Fabrice

Hello Fabrice, I was looking at this picture as well. But it says to connect the TRAFO Brown and the DIGITAL Brown, is that ok or not? Also the pictures shows no cable connected in between the blue ones. I just don’t want to create a massive short circuit :).

Yes, Normally there is no problem to connect together all grounds, i.e. Brown or "O" connections.
I've done it since a while.

The thing which is forbidden is to connect Brown(0) to Red (B) or Yellow (L).

On my Layout, all Browns are connected together thus I've a single "O" reference wire (4 digital boosters + 1 analog 150VA Trafo)

Cheers
