Does anyone know of an economically priced 60010 bulb or its equivalent.

Thanks Jean. Ordered them just now. Didnt find them myself. Must use a different search engine way down here. I was surprised to get the order in as other stuff I attempted to order from Germany could or would not be shipped to me.

Hello Dereck,

just 3 links to give you an idea about prices and replacement with LED bulbs. Yes I know at Amazone not available at the moment, but it tells the technical specifications for an LED bulb.

https://www.ebay.de/b/Marklin-60010/bn_7005707412

https://www.amazon.de/LE...C3%A4rklin/dp/B0725FN1LX

https://www.mke.de/artik...satz_fuer_mae_60010.html

The screw thread is in Germany named E5,5. We have further Exx socket standards for other bulbs, mostly they are the bigger ones. A very common one is E27 for a regular bulb in a room lamp.

Interesting the offer from MKE of the Viessmann bulbs. MKE wrote:

"Novelty! Upgrade your Märklin locomotives with LED lighting in no time at all. Turn off the old light bulb, screw in the LED in the shape of a light bulb - that's it! LED in lamp size like a Märklin light bulb 60010/600010. 13 to 24V operating voltage, white series resistor already installed. Package with 5 pieces."

Perhaps you find this type of light bulb at other electronic shops too. The major point at the moment will be the shipment to NZ. Perhaps you find it in a shop in NZ?

Regards

Wolfgang

wow. Thanks for those links Wolfgang. They didn't come up when I searched Ebay and other sites. There has been a problem getting stuff out of Germany right now though.

I know this problem and it is getting more and more a bigger problem. These companies direct you in a way many people do not want and not looking for. These companies want to determine your decisions, thoughts, etc. Sometimes I give in Google with another country code, like ".at" for Austria, if I am looking for specific Austrian websites. No chance, Google refers you always back to the German ones. It is disgusting. So it does make great sense asking other people in other contries doing the same searches for you. They always will get different results as you got.

Not only "in Germany" / "You", since the prefix "E" refers to the inventor, at gentleman called Thomas Alva Edison............... BigGrin
