Hi,

I started to fill some of my H0 trains with passengers and a driver. Somehow I find it absolutely impossible to squeeze 2 passengers on a bench, even in true to scale coaches.
UserPostedImage

Also from the outside, the train looks a bit overfilled and the passengers too bulky.

Anyone tried N scale passengers or would that look like a school excursion?

Best regards,
Gregor

Interesting observation. ThumpUp I also have the impression that the passengers generally (not only in your pictures) sit too high and sort of fill out the entire window height.

I am wondering how many of the figurines were actually rendered in OO 1/76 scale instead of 1/87?

Regards

G scale is no better. I think it is a combination of things...

The interiors of the cars are too narrow due to width of sides and windows.
Seats and floors are molded too high to accommodate coupler mechanisms and car weights
Seats don't give, they are hard combined with model butts that don't give either!
Mini people seem to be more exuberant but you can't squeeze their arms an legs together without surgery.
Mini peoples clothes don't give either.

Good idea, Dale. I just saw this link. They are unpainted but not bad price. Peter.

Maybe all the passengers have just emerged from Covid quarantine. I am certainly sporting an extra covid 15 lbs and not sure who could sit beside me. Played squash yesterday and let me just say there is work to do.

Hello Dereck,

I notice Preiser only make one bunch (six people) of Sitzende Personen in 1: 100.

Where do you get your stunted Preiserlings from?

Regards,

Philip

Hi,

I have ordered some 1:100 size passengers from Marion Zeller https://www.marion-zeller.de/pro...info.php?products_id=170 and i think they look ok in regular passenger wagons.

Hello PJMärklin or (PJPreiser shortly?)Smile,

for your rainy days at Winter time.BigGrin

The Preisser catalogue 2020
https://www.preiserfigur...iten_2020&SiteID=139

and

the Merten catalogue 2020
https://www.preiserfigur...ramm_2020&SiteID=138

When you scroll down the pages a little bit, you see buttons with the pdf sign. You may download their catalouge and price list. In these PDF Files Preiser offers an English translation too, which I could not foound for the website. For English speaker the PDF files may be more helpful.

Under the menu point "Katalogdownload" all available catalogues in all various gauges are listed as PDF files. Needs a few rainy days for them all.Laugh

Regards

TEEWolf

lOOK ON EBAY. There are quite a few available ex China. Not really good quality, but fitted into carriages, who would know.

50 Painted Model Train Seated People Passengers Figures 1_87 HO Scale _ eBay $4.00- $10.00 nz

Dereck

Preiserlings are really good quality, but cost a lot lot more. The seated "Chinalings" are ok in carriages but I would not think they were good enough to be stand alone. The painting isn't that great on the "Chinalings", but you get what you pay for. I don't have time to paint figures like these, and I would rather spend my money on other things.
I have a 37580 in which I have placed 50 of these 1;100 figures. Looks good.
