Hello Marklin collector friends - I picked up a catalog/paperwork lot recently in an auction and among the publications was one announcing the new Marklin items for 1968. I believe that this booklet contains the first "official" announcement of the release of the #3059 "Le Capitole" electric locomotive and the accompanying #4075 passenger coach - both of which are sought after collectibles for fans of the famous crimson pair.

At this time Marklin was pushing their line of slot cars as well.

I have scanned the entire booklet for your download and reading enjoyment. Published in February of 1968.

Marklin1968-Novelties.pdf (5,085kb) downloaded 88 time(s).

Kurt

Thank you, Kurt. I have this only in German in my collection.

Nice (for me) to be reminded that in those days the Märklin English literature used English spelling (“tyre”, “colour”, “catalogue”), rather than the American spellings they insist on using nowadays!

Best wishes,

Nigel
