Hi,

I have an older K Track layout and some of my turnout lanterns have been lost over the years.

Is there a specific part number for these or any known substitute / work around?

Thanks, David

Hi David,

I went through this some time ago. Look at the images below. The lantern is not referenced in the image. but I believe they are "Laternenkasten" in the listing (Lantern Box)

They are different for left and right. 35885 (L) & 35911 (R)

I found a reply from Marklin Service when I enquired back in 2011.

From K-track 2261:
left: 358850 lantern box, 358860 Light body, 358900 lantern base
right: 359110 lantern box, 358860 light body, lamp base 358900

So just add '0' to the earlier numbers. Hopefully they are still valid.

But I believe they are the same for 21xx and 22xx series respectively. They simply pull out so yes they can be easily lost.

Hope this helps....

You're welcome. Kind of appropriate that I help you seeing as when I was looking into this myself back in 2011 we were living in Melbourne and I had just done a marathon trek to Sydney to rescue an original factory layout.

We discussed it not long ago, well, resurrected the thread is more like it..... :-)
