There are enthusiastic Marklin rail fans around the world and many in the US,but there seems to be a dry spell in the midwest. Kansas and its resident don't seem to be as numerous or perhaps as visible when it comes to sharing their wonderfully addictive hobby/addiction. It is at times frustrating to feel like an island when it comes to sharing tips or better yet seeing a friends layout, comparing rolling stock, scenery and frequently, solving tech issues and their solutions. This Forum is a wonderful place to come to but it it sadly is the only oasis or common meeting place I have run across.
My fellow HO modelers I see at train shows seldom have Marklin items to sell or trade and I've even heard comments like: " ......is that that German stuff???...." Harrumph!!
In any case, I am in Wichita, Kansas and would enjoy making contact with other Marklin enthusiasts in the area.
Thanks for letting me rant!
George

Would be worth putting some relevant (minimal) location information in your profile so it shows up under your avatar when you post. This helps people identify where you are when they see you posting.
