NMJ has relaunched its model of Hell Station, and the freight building. https://en.nmj.eu/1025240.html

The freight building is known for its rather special sign in Norwegian "Hell Gods - Expedition". Gods is the Norwegian word for freight. The name Hell stems from the Old Norse word hellir, which means "overhang" or "cliff cave". It has a more used homonym in modern Norwegian that means "luck". Its comes as a ready made model.

Wikipedia article about the actual station. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hell_Station

Hi bph,

It would seem reasonable that the model is representative of much of the architectural detail of Norwegian timber railway buildings.

I took this photo of Moi (Rogaland) station on the Kristiansand-Stavangar line in December 2015.

I believe that a lot of the stations in Norway is Swiss chalet style. approx 1840-1920. I observe that Moi Station is built 1904. So it fits. A believe several station used the same drawings also. To day a lot of this modern buildings is not in use by the railway anymore ore completely closed down and replaced by ticket machine and phone apps.
As a curiosity the Kristiansand-Stavangar line, have a small stopping place called Paradis, so in Norway you can take the train from Paradis(e) to Hell. (link)

Nice!
Very much like the luggage lift in the Copenhagen Central Station; "Godselevator" ;-)
