I have an older Märklin loco, #3451, "Märklin Heizerlok" – SBB. It has the older 3 pole motor and a Delta Chip. I would lie to upgrade the motor using one of the Marklin motor upgrade kits.

The instructions show that a 61 146 motor currently installed.

There are at least 3 options,: Märklin 60943 High-efficiency Motor, Märklin 60760 Digital High Efficiency and Märklin 60943 Digital High Efficiency Motor
Which is right for this loco?

The exploded drawing and the instructions are unclear.

Which Kit?

60760 or if you want better use the 60941 plus an mfx/dcc decoder from ESU, Märklin, Zimo or other brand you prefer.
Best regards,
