I was curious as to what models from the post-1965 period you have not yet seen in model and would like to see?

For me, the list is relatively short (and maybe SBB/Swiss biased):

1) SOB/BT BDe 4/4 Pendelzug (Piko or LS Models)

2) Maerklin SBB Re 4/4II in 1970s livery (green with round headlights and silver roof)

3) Stadler Models (Flirt, KISS, Traverso, etc) from other than Liliput-Bachmann

4) SBB WR (EW I modified with Red/White IC livery 1980s)

For Maerklin, here are a couple of specific wishes:

1) WLA(B)m T2S in 282mm (Various Railways)
2) SNCB Bcm couchette in 282mm
3) SNCB Eurofima in Memling and Post Memling EC in 282mm
4) DB Avmz207 in red/beige 282mm
5) DB Bvmz185 in Product, Red/White and White/Red in 282mm
6) DB Bm235 in Product and Red/White in 282mm
7) DBAG IC/EC coaches in White/Red (IC/EC) 282mm including WRmz137 and Bimz
8) Trenitalia (FS) Eurofima in Bigrigio and XMPR Liveries 282mm
9) FS Baggage in Eurofima colors 282mm

I had a couple more suggestions, but that should do for now.

Regards

I, like Mike am Swiss biased.

1 - Marklin version of the RBDe 560, in the Kolibri pendelzug colors; white and blue with yellow doors and red ends. With matching intermediate cars to match.

2- SOB Revvivo passenger cars as used on the Voralpen Express.

3 - Nordwaggon (Transwaggon) 2 part sliding wall cars. These are two four wheeled wagons permanently connected so that the blue and yellow Nordwaggon logo is spread across the two cars. They were pretty common around 2005.

Lilliput made #1 some years ago but I have never seen one.
#2 was made by a boutique model builder but they are rare and costly.
I don't think anyone has produced a model of #3.

Regards,
Roger

I think that Roco may have had a model of the paired two-axled Transwaggon cars at one point.

The AC analog NPZ was available under the number 14458. I think that Suter-Meggen has a used one listed

I don't expect to see a large scale production of Voralpen Express coaches at any point.

Hi all,

I think Märklin urgently needs more era VI new tooling because that will account for the bulk of sales in MRR ten years from now. One thing I've noticed in recent news brochures is that there are now quite a lot of era VI items, but new tooling still focuses on locos or rail cars that are no longer in use in the 21st century, except as museum locos in some cases.

New tooling that is developed now will be used to release new versions for the next 20 years or more. How many customers will buy era I-III in the year 2030?

I think Märklin should make more modern railcars, such as the Desiro or Stadler Flirt, plus any era VI locos that aren't part of its portfolio yet.

More specifically, I think the Danish MX would be a good addition, with numerous versions ranging all the way form era III to era VI. It's a loco that has been exported to other countries as well, so it wouldn't just be for Denmark. For Sweden, there should be a new tooling Rc because the old one is really outdated. For other export countries such as France or Luxembourg, modern railcars might be useful.

Best regards,

Mark

I like Märklin vintage models (analog), but also digital locos & non-vintage rolling stock (focus on Denmark, era 5-6).
