Hello everybody

Just received a 60941 kit (5* motor) and a ESU Lokpilot V4.0 M4 decoder.
Have already a 60760 kit on the desk waiting to be used.

Now, I want to update my ICE 2 and a Re 460 (#3460), both Delta's with DCM motors.
Both will get the 5* motor implants

Question is what would be the wisest to do with the decoders?
That ESU decoder has way more capability's then i will ever fidle with, so were would it make the most sense to implant it in? The ICE 2 or the Swiss lok? The other one will get the decoder from the 60760 kit.

Read on the forum that it is wise to keep the Delta decoder in the ICE 2 to operate the lights as they are, and only use the auxiliary decoder for the motor control (at the same address of the Delta decoder) to keep things easy. That would mean then that the simple decoder from the kit would be good enough for the ICE 2? Could i then use the light outputs from the kit decoder as a source for the interior lightning?

BTW, my digital controller is the "ancient" 6021

Any insights or idea's are welcome

Regards from Aruba
Jean-Pierre
