A recent acquisition found a vintage GM demonstrator in front of me awaiting some action. A close look about the outside shows little to no run time , upon inspection of the inside shows the same. This is the 3649 so it is digital low level a mother board and decoder are present. When loaded onto my test track and powered with my Marklin analog source no action can be observed in motion nor in sound.

To run it analogue you may need to turn all the address switches to the OFF position. I am not sure if this model was made during the period when Marklin could not use the autosensing system to detect if it was to run digital or analogue so may need them all off.

This model is the first Marklin F7 ABA triple unit, and has two motors and a very early decoder.
