I am trying to set up a small train set on the floor around my Xmas tree. I'm having problems connecting the Marklin HO train cars together. Does someone have a schematic or video showing how the couplers should work that you could share with me.
Thanks for your assistance on this request.

Thanks for your assistance on this request. Marklin couplers will not couple properly on curved track. You wil find the easiest way to couple them is to add a car to one on the track by holding it square to the end of the one on the track, coupling them together then putting the second car on the track.

No problem with Märklin Relex couplers. I have found it to be a problem with the Relex ones as well. Unless the spring is quite stiff when the couplers come up against each other as they are pushed together they swing to the outside of the curve without the loops lifting over the hooks.
