Maerklin released a new model of a NSB EL18 (Re 460/465 adapted for Norway).

https://static.maerklin....df68f2de481557208820.jpg

For a second, it crossed my mind that Maerklin finally found a second life for overstock on the 3461 Technology Model...LOL LOL LOL

A very nice model. Roco had a model of the same/similar lok with some green coaches. I do not know if the coaches were available separately in that livery.

NMJ makes some models that go with this lok too.

Regards

Mike C

Yes its a nice model, I have passed on it since m does not have any suitable coaches, (I do have the 34635 EL18)

4 EL8 was involved in a collision this summer on Flåmsbana (Flåm line). Because on the step gradient (5.5 percent) they use 2 locomotives on each train set.

Just got this model a few days ago and it looks very nice.
Haven't had the opportunity to run it yet as I don't have a permanent layout but had a quick photo shoot on the kitchen table. BigGrin

Here pictured with some B7 coaches from NMJ

Sprung buffers and chain coupler, draw gear screw coupler. Not sure the correct terminology.

No, not what I mean. Very obvious part on the loco. Compare with a Swiss Re4/4 V.

That is a very nice loco.. I wish that I had ordered one, since my old NMJ El17 broke down a few years ago, the Flamsbana wagon has been towed by a Norwegian El.10 shunter..
