Hello,

I wrote recently about inheriting a large collection of Marklin trains. I received a lot of positive support which I appreciate.

I have started listing some of the items on ebay, mostly those items I have that do not include the original boxes. I have an item that I have listed, but I am wondering if I can get some more information, and I'm hoping you folks can help.

I have listed a Cargo Sprinter set - I am unsure if it is 34090 or 37090. I think it is digital, but again, as a complete newcomer to this, I am unsure. The set is incomplete and doesn't include all the items listed with either set, however it does include one extra flat train.

I have attached photos and any information on the set you can provide is appreciated. I'd be happy to take extra photos if needed.

Thank you all.

Here are their Maerklin database entries.

https://www.maerklin.de/...pdb_pi1%5Bsearchres%5D=1

The text says 34090 has a DELTA electronic inside.

https://www.maerklin.de/...s/details/article/37090/

the 37090 has already a fx decoder inside.

Both trains are digital.

Thank you for the information. Is there an easy way to tell which one it is? I reviewed the links you provided and couldn't figure out a clear answer.

Sure.
Delta trains have a serial number that begins with "M" while it is "D", "S", or "H" for "Digital" trains.
Delta trains usually only have 4 DIP switches. I only see 4 DIP switches on your pics and I assume it is the Delta version. I cannot tell M from H with that photo resolution. Wink

Correct you are HO!
I was able to download and "enhance" the picture.Wink
Definitey an "M" i n front of the serial number and only 4 keys on the "Mouse piano"
The Delta version without a doubt
