I am having to replace the speaker in my steam loco, There is just enough room in front of the decoder and behind the body mounting lug. I can make up a small bracket fastened under the the side rod guide mounting screw. Will that do the job as far as sound quality is concerned. My limited knowledge of speakers is that they are best mounted on a sound board.
