Location: On 1965 Märklin Boulevard just around from Roco Square
Jägerndorfer an Austrian manufacturer in Vienna makes a variety of Austrian model trains.
We've chosen it because they are cheaper than the Roco model set and also come with 1:87 carriages (unfortunately Piko only has 1:100 carriages.
the various sets come and should form a 7 carriage train without the loco:

the sets consist of:

1 drivers car (business class & 1st class, 1 x 1st class, 1 dining car, 4 x 2nd class cars, 1 Loco, all in the ÖBB Railjet colours

I've added an ESU sound decoder and there is a 21 pin adapter plate already in the loco.
the loco has headlights digital controlled high beam and is a very detailed model
We've bought several sets to make up a whole train (7 carriages + loco)
the carriages are easily taken apart but you need a few skills to do it.
unfortunately one of the extension set didn't have electrical couplings (6 pins) but I've ordered 1 pair for the drivers cab.
I also used 2 x 4 pin electrical couplings from Fleischmann (wouldn't recommend them, they do the job but very hard to either take them apart or push them together.
the carriages have designation signs which includes the station from and to and also the wagon numbers (for instance car number 26 = 1st class for instance).
the loco drives well and I also ordered 2 more axles with rubber tyres whether it is essential I don't know, the locos weighs enough but an extra 2 rubber tyres wont hurt, the loco has 1 rubber tyre diagonally from each bogie.

there are exchangeable front and rear cow catchers and you have to fit the hoses yourself (never an easy task to undertake)

the whole set has now has now been converted with the following improvements:

cab light, interior light, lit designation signs, its taken me a while but I'm happy with the result, the signs light up depending on the direction.

from the drivers car:

ESU Lokpilot V 4.0, ESU adapterplate 51957,:

cab light = Aux 5 = reverse
interior light = only driver car = Aux 2
designation sign = forward = Aux 3
designation sign = reverse = Aux 4

Loco:

ESU sound decoder with 21 pin

interior lights = Aux 2 = all cars except drivers car.

cab light = Aux 5 = forward
