Has anyone had any experience with the Marklin level crossing 7054? Does it operate the same way as the 7182 (actuator track sections, etc.)? Is the manual available online? Any help with this greatly appreciated!

The weight of the train rolling over the rails pushes down on the rails and brings down the crossing gates. I'm guessing the yellow wire must be for a light inside the house. |

Hi
Yes as said above the gate operate by the train weight. Very simple The yellow wire allows to turn on the red light on the warning cross when the gates are down. It is a very nice, toy-like accessory helping recreate the fabulous Märklin ambiance of the 1950s. There is also a hole to add a lighting fixure in the small cabin. Cheers
