I recently tried to use this turnout after 8 years, but it only works one way. When it's extended it can retract but not the other way around. I've seen a tutorial on youtube but that turnout doesnt look like mine. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pkt5h4b0WGE)
Could anyone help me with this one? Heres a picture. Also, do the turnouts work good now? or are there still some which will break after a while because i wanted to buy some more. I've seen theres another, the 74492 turnout. Is that one better?

This is a known issue, there should already be entries on this in the forum.

In short, one of the end switches (black and white in your picture) is dead. This is due to a design error in the electronics. After a while all the affected switch drivers will all stop functioning.

The good news is that you can workaround it, depending on how you control them. The endswitches are there to avoid the solenoids overheating when a long control pulse is used, or when a constant voltage is applied. If you drive the switch with short(er) pulses only, you don't need the end switches and you can bridge them using a piece of wire. If you are planning to use them on a permanent layout, it is probably best that you do it preventively.

I have patched all my switch drives to avoid this issues.

Throw it out and buy a Viessmann 4568 motor/decoder - much more reliable.
Take it easy . . . . or any other way you can get it !!!!
