Need to access interior of the 4103 car with tail lights.
The second screw is completely hidden under the current pickup shoe (Schleifer) and cannot be approached with any screwdriver.
Hesitating to pull the pickup shoe although it seems reasonable it had to be mounted somehow when the car was assembled.
Any ideas how to open 4103 ?
Thanks for looking.

Thank you.Tried to pull the slider out but did not dare to use excessive force.Tried to rotate the slider to test if it moves at all, but in vain.It is very firmly fixed. But you are right, the slider must have been assembled last, i.e. after the screw was fixed. Meaning the slider CAN be removed.

And most likely it is just held in with small expansion clips molded into the plastic base of the slider. It does indeed feel like it is going to break something when you pry them out and I don't like doing it. But I have never had one break either, so it seems to work even if it does not inspire a lot of confidence. BigGrin

Jim

I have almost all Märklin and mostly HO, although I do have a small number of Z gauge trains!
So many trains and so little time.

Answering now because finally I managed to open it last night.
Pushed the slider down through one of the doors.Used Kelly surgical forceps to pressure protrusions you mentioned and at the same time pressed down. The slider simply snapped out.
Had to try because on of the windows was displaced and rattled inside the car, impossible to put it back unless the car is open.
Thank you again.
