20190415_135144.jpgHi all,

I have an old 3047, DB 44690, that looks to me as if it used to be fitted with "Telex" system.

Is anyone able to assist me in re-fitting(maybe just the cables) the Telex function for this model.

A set of drawings would be helpful as I am sure that I will be able to work it out from there!

I dont get to run this fellow that much but it is one of my faves, in good condition for its age with no sign of any zinc pest and minimal paint wear.

Beautiful quite runner with a fitted and working smoke unit.

Thanks for the help.

Mike.

Hi Mike,

This sketch shows the original wiring of the 3047. Just ignore the tender-lights.

It's the question why someone removed the wires. Maybe there is the wrong remote-reverve-unit inside the loco,

Regards

Markus

Hi Markus,
thanks for the diagram. I will have a look over the coming week and see how we go.
Yes like you I am wondering why the wires would have been removed, who knows!

G-day Markus,

the diagram was spot on and made things very easy. All done and working well. I will have to adjust the coupling a little but should be no problem.

Fitted a new LED lamp just like having a new engine.

Somewhere in its life it must have had an owner with a cat!

Thanks once again,

regards,

Mike.
